Testimonials - Dynasty Ethiopia Tours

Ethiopia is a fascinating country. When you explore it with Dynasty Tours, the trip becomes a marvelous experience. Managing Director Bogale Mesfin tailored the programme specifically for my sons and me, since we only had a short period to discover the highlights of the country. He had only ten days to show us the nature and the clans of the south, the Rift Valley, Addis Abeba, Gonder, Lalibela and Axum. This required a lot of driving and flying, but because of the comfort and the excellent services, we never felt tired or stressed and were able to enjoy all the marvels of the country to the most: the friendly people, the animals and the landscapes, the fortresses and churches … What is more, Dynasty Tours is so dedicated and has such a broad experience that it can show you things the others don’t. We made a nightly visit to the rock hewn churches in Lalibela during ceremonies – a captivating experience between the chanters and the priests and the pilgrims – no tourists to be seen. In the same town, one of the children had a haircut in a local barber shop and we enjoyed a coffee ceremony with a local family. During the whole trip, we felt like visitors, not tourists – and that is the merit of Dynasty Tours. The ultimate benefit we had from travelling with Bogale and his company is that he succeeded in making us understand the Ethiopian way of seeing things, this complex but mesmerizing mix of religion, mythology and reality that is the real attraction of the country. Will certainly go back!”m.

On October 26, 2012 I was in the process of completing an 800-kilometer horseback journey from Addis Ababa to Lalibela. My journey was produced in conjunction with the Ethiopian government and of all the tour managers in Ethiopia that they could have suggested they chose Dynasty Ethiopia Tours. By retaining a close nit relationship with the local community DET was able to provide me with some of the most authentic experiences of my journey. Regardless of if I was staying in traditional homes, on mountaintops, or in a more luxurious hotel, the staff at DET carried out their duties with the utmost professionalism. Thank you DET!m.

O traveled as part of a group of four women and a teenage girl to Ethiopia in 2011. Our tour was to celebrate the retirement of a friend and well known and respected community activist from Nova Scotia, Canada – Lynn Jones. An organizing committee raised and donated about $20,000 in funds to Partners in the Horn of Africa. An experience, which I enjoyed and for which I will always be grateful. We met great people doing amazing work.

Bogale organized the fun part of our tour. He presented us with several options on how to construct the tour to bring us to the parts of Ethiopia we wished to visit. He organized all travel, hotels, meals and site visits and scheduling. The entire experience was extremely well organized, personalized to our requests and filled with Bogale’s stories and warm smiles. He introduced us to friends, shared his love for his country, it’s history, it’s people, it accomplishments and the intimate relationship many people of Ethiopia share with the Orthodox Christian Church.

Without hesitation, I can say I felt safe, educated and cared for by Bogale. Ethiopia is a country in transition and one of the homes of the United Nations and the African Union. It’s people, their history and their presence is amazing. You will be enriched by the experience as we were.

Thank you, my friend, Bogale.m.
